Testing my greyboxed map right now, and I noticed something peculiar...
If I order a drifter to go directly beneath a vent, then, once it's there, I order it to move into the vent directly above it, it just shoots straight up into the vent! It can't go anywhere in there, as any orders will send it back down to ground level. BUT... and I haven't been able to reproduce this... BUT... the VERY FIRST time it happened, the drifter shot up into the vent, WENT OVER A WALL, and came running back to where it started. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do about this. I have vents marked to not have the pathing generated in them, and indeed (in the editor at least) there is no pathing mesh in the vents, yet drifters can still warp into them!

Sadly in terms of mitigation, I haven't done enough in mapping in ns2 to help at all:(
No no you misunderstand me. What was happening wasn't that drifters were entering the vents, they were literally moving STRAIGHT UP into an overhead vent, ie through the floor of the vent. The fix is to just make the overhanging part of the vent invisible to the commander so they can't order the drifter into the vent.
