[windows7] No menu comes up for play or options

So I am trying to get the game working for my mrs on her imac on Windows 7 under bootcamp, the game will load and all seems fine but no menu will appear when you select Play or Options.
I have updated graphics, directx, tried deleting shaders folder and appdata folder and also tried the raw input setting, nothing seems to work
Any idea what to do next?

Should get you going again.
do you have any mods running that might be relevant here?
I would also try changing your steam content server, and then trying steve's fix again.
I fixed it.
Ill post what i posted:
I'm posting 2 images of what i see when i launch the game.
I did fix this but i had to join through steam friends onto a server. But once i joined a server all my key bindings were gone, i was set to rookie again...basically it set everything to default.

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem.
