The option to enable the "Physx GPU acceleration", what does it do exactly? And why does the configuration in my nvidia control panel, where you choose wether the Physx runs on the cpu or the gpu, not affect natural selection 2? Natural selection 2 seems to only run physx on the cpu, why?

:P
NS2 runs fine here, and I've set Physics to automatic in the nNidia CP.
NVIDIA Control Panel -> 3D Settings -> Show Physx Visual Indicator -> Run ns2.
It should say with big letters if Physx is on, and what processor it's using.
On other games like Batman Arkham Asylum it's almost always at 90%+ to keep up with the Titan's framerate
Indicator says it uses my CPU, despite what the console tells me.
I don't think it would make too big a difference on my rig but for people with lower CPU specs it would help to offload the calcs to the more beefier GPU (if they have one).
It's hell to play stuff like Mirror's Edge without it, where they've basically built physics around it. I had an Ati card and breaking windows would make my game stutter to a halt.
