Couldn't initialize the renderer device

I could play NS 2 before. After I updated NS 2 today. The FPS was still low, so I deleted the NS 2 folder in the AppData for default settings. Then I couldn't open NS 2 anymore. I got the error message: couldn't initialize the renderer device, and I tried every method on the forum, but still got the error. I removed the system_options.xml file in %appdata%/Natural Selection 2/, deleted the folder 4920, used the DirectX installer in NS2 folder and reinstalled many version Nvidia driver. I even reinstall NS2 3 times... Every method didn't work. Please help.

So, It would be super handy to see the zip file you get when you run techsupport.exe from the ns2 install directory. can you pos that so i can take a look at it?

I solved the error by luck. I read the former thread, you said go to: %appdata%/Natural Selection 2/system_options.xml
make it:<device>D3D9</device> . I had done that, but didn't work, so I tried to make it :<device>D3D11</device>, then I can open the game finally!

I searched and I am unable to find System_options.xml. I'll try verifying the game cache and see if it appears.
