Change the name color of allies on friends list

As the title suggests, I think it's a good idea to (as per chivalry 2) have allied players that are on your friends list appear in green instead of blue when displayed above their heads and on the scoreboard.
I wonder if this is moddable at all, I assume generating and populating a list with steamIDs shouldn't be too hard but how would one go about selectively changing the colour of names ingame?
