Possible mistake of exo plasma HUD aim firing

The thing is that when you fire your exo plasma gun (did not checked doubled plasma) on the ground/ceiling or wall from some distance and at some (different from 90 degrees) angle - your shot will never match your HUD aim - it will always be put a bit further. And more the distance from exo to the destination surface - greater the mismatch. See picture attached.
So a question - is it a bug?

Interesting... not sure if this is a bug, or just an inevitable side effect of the viewpoint (the thing the crosshairs are stuck to) being slightly offset from where the gun actually is (ie the bullet isn't coming out of the center of the screen, it fires from the lower right).

Things are allright for exo machine gun as well as for the same kind of marine weapons (rifle, pistol) in the same situation (aim matches shot). The problem is only with plasma.

I noticed something funky when using the railgun against cysts the other day.
    I'll look into this, thanks!

Also it Only seems to do this when aiming at a tile surface, it doesn't seem to deviate from structures or even from lifeforms. maybe because it's trying to pierce the ground aswell as the structure in the predictions and ends up breaking the shot co-ords?
