How to check # of cylinders for Flamethrower?

For the rifle it's easy - there's a counter with the number of mags displayed underneath. But what about the flamer? It just shows the volume for the cylinder currently loaded.

Memory. Pretty sure you start with four spares, but honesly the amount of time I've run out of flamer ammo is minimal.

It can run out of ammo?

There was one time I burned a lot of aliens. Suddenly I had no fuel cylinders to continue the inferno. Died a horrible death.

I remember when it displayed absolutely no information about it's ammo at all. You'd suddenly run out and die :|

No. What if you reload prematurely a few times? Should you add up what's left to 'fuel bank' and subtract one full cylinder from total, then repeat it every time you reload, memorizing how much you have left and paying attention at how much you had during reload? The future... is dark.

    Just use 2 bars?

1st showing current fuel tank, 2nd showing total fuel.

more like nearly 8 years. After 85 days only 3% of the fuel was burned.

And thus, the Cult of the Flamethrower was begun.

I have to admit that I'm sort of unnerved by how calmly my marine avatar unpacks and prepares his flame thrower when changing from the welder, even as a pack of savage chomping dinosaurs leap in for the kill. I know that it's important to pace such an operation to prevent unnecessary wear and tear to the equipment but I can't shake the feeling that he's being a little *too* diligent.

And all of that is absolutely useless to you if you pick up someone elses dropped flamethrower.

What about this: If the last fuel can is being used, the avatar starts to laugh like a villain as long as you press fire :P - Hank Scorpio style!

Yes, 8 years is clearly not enough. Some of those stalemates last forever.

Wasn't there a version during the beta where a blue top beam in the weapon's display was reduced 20% for every used can? I remember sth like that...

This has been an issue for a long time, I think a couple simple white squares added on the gauge somewhere would fix the problem buuuuuuuuut not holding my breath.

I, also, would like to see how many canisters are remaining. Please add this feature to the flamethrower.
