Sounds like only one side of the story. You had to say something for them to start targeting you. Doesn't make sense that someone would randomly select you and start imitating your name and trolling you.
Best thing to do with these type of people is to just ignore them and find a new server. The second you give them attention, they've won.
Did you say anything about not playing in rookie servers or cheating then go spectator? Those are the two things I can really only think of that would cause comp players to talk in pubs haha.
Also, separate of your situation players generally don't like players sitting in spec. 1 player even in large 24 man servers can make a difference if they join. If you are playing in smaller servers it can make a very big difference. Not to say you will always get kicked if you go spec but don't' be surprised if you do.
It's irritating when people sit in spec on pubs especially for 3 maps. There has to be a reason for people engaging you like that. Like they mentioned earlier DFA has a rookie only server and I personally respond to people when they ask for help or let people know they have no idea what is going on.

Only in rookie servers will you see lerks spinning around and getting 40-0 streaks. Funny thing is when you actually kill them they will leave the server.
if you want to spectate better players and learn something go to twitch.com as there are seeveral skilled ns2 vets streaming all day.
that way you dont block up a slot by spec

I'm sorry you ran into trolls, while the NS community is very friendly overall there are always the bad apples.
If possible, contact the admins of the server, if not, change server.
@Ichigo186 Didn't read most of the thread, and it's probably been said already but, play on community servers with regular players and admins over UWE official servers at all times. This will probably stop 90% of your complaints.
Note that not just ANY community server will do, there will be bad ones, find a good one that you have fun playing on then keep playing there. Spec for 3 maps solid though and you'll be kicked on any server.
