annoying for aliens, not marines
i think its annoying when im a fade with redemption, and redemption doesnt work, it might help if i know what determines whether redemptions used or not, sometimes i have 70 health, and sometimes i have 2 when it teleports me.
another thing that i find annoying is that when im a lerk, i find it difficult sometimes to get into a vent, then i get shot to death cause i cant escape in time.

Either way, as an alien, turret farming comms, such a hassle to take out
Phase rushes.
People going lerk when we have one hive.
Sensory first.
Marines Teching when they control 2 hives rather than just killing the third.
"OMFGORZ WE HAV 2 MANI GORGS!!!111"
"OMFGORZ!!!11 r gorg suxorz!!11 He bilt blah blah in a way I dont like!!!!"
and so on. Im sure you have seen such bs.
Aliens hitting F4 when sensory was built as a second chamber.
Gorges who hide inside a vent with tons of OCs and DCs as soon the game is lost.
Skulks using the "hostile marine" exploit.
Fades who get into the way when I try to retreat.
Gorges who go rambo, trying to take out those marines with their spit attack.
Cloaked skulks hanging above the marine base entrance for about 10 minutes, reporting their movement instead of taking them down.
Getting stuck as an onos.
Managing to get behind a marine using blink and accidentially pressing your "evolve to an onos"-key.
Being knifed to death while evolving.
The Hmg hurts.
And of course the slow painful death after u have been de_nied trying to get into both hives and munch the CC .

you
busily fighting for one hive to lose it then find out nobody checked the other hive and it's lost too
not being able to aim
only to have another two people go gorge also, draining your resources and freaking up the game...
2 :going onos, and getting close to marines base, only to find a stupid gorge has blocked the doors with offense chambers...
3: getting stuck after trying to squeeze your onos body in between some stupidly placed offense chambers...
4: accidently pressing the evolve button..
I love cloaking, and it also helps ballance the midgame a bit in public play with less marine teamplay.

much easier to filter things this way, taht way i can bad mouth marines here, and bad mouth aliens over on the other forum... or not just easier to filter and complain
A smart marine commander.
A gorge who doesn't know what they're doing. "How do I build?"
Changing the 'accepted' build-order of chambers. I like change now and then, sure, but the team should be polled before you decided to disembark from the usual defense/movement/sensory order. Most players are comfortable with this setup and changing it will only upset the flow of the game. Ask first - maybe the team really does want sensory before movement, but you need to find that out first.
Failed redemption.
Being caught evolving and getting hosed because of it.
The HMG rush.
Getting stuck, either by blink or by evolving over certain gratings.

Question: Why isn't marine sidestepping slowed, like the backpedal is? It would help out the aliens. It makes sense, too - can you really sidestep as fast as you can run in real life? While carrying a couple dozen pounds of military equipment?

i have no idea, but maybe then arent humans, or their genetically engineered (laugh, like these guys are advanced, i could probably make more advanced weapons with a piece of floss, a spoon, and a tooth pick). either way, i dont think side stepping should be slowed, aliens do the same, and my golly its saved me a few times.
Gorges who think one res node is fine, and go crawling into a vent over the marine spawn to build O towers.
Getting to a res node and finding someone's built an Offense tower on it.
Nine Kharaa... five Gorges.
Can you tell most of what i find irritating with the Kharaa is gorge-oriented?
Going to some phenomenally expensive morph and then getting yourself killed right off the bat... what a waste.

An advise to fade players:
1. ALWAYS use carapace.
2. Before doing fade do gorge. Then seek an enemy installation. Build 3 def chambers (out of range of sieges). Always just plays one for testing. If within 10 it does not get fired by a siege that area is safe.
3. build 2 or 3 offense chambers along with the def chambers.
4. morph to fade.
5. do hit and run then.
I do this and I succeed almost everytime.
(added)
By the time you have 2nd hive up your team should have enough res to do give you that opportunity.
most annoying thing is a team who fails to work togeter...
Watching structures you built sink into the floor
Having 76 resources, getting ready to put up the hive, and being knifed to death by a lost marine.
Broken crouching marine hitboxes.
The HMG when the aliens have 1 hive left. (AAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGHH!!!!!)
Getting stuck as Onos or Fade.
3 Fades acid-rocket spamming the marine base.

While marines are huddling next to the CC.

While marines are reloading at the armory.

Teammates not phasing through when they need to get to a certain place, and instead loading up at the armory.
I like some of the earlier ones. Especially the gorg related ones.
Skulks that never organise themselves into packs to take out turret factories/marine base.
Skulks that freak out about the marines taking posession of one hive, smashing themselves solo against the turrets in that hive, and in the process fail to protect the two remaining hives.
Aliens teams that all hit f4 as soon as the marines have two hives secured. (pretty common on some pub servers I have visited) This would apply to marines too. ..."OMG! FADES! HIT F4!"....
Basically I hate alien teams that are unorganised and give up too easily. I guess that goes for marine sides as well.
Luckily I can play on a server which has lots of regulars on it, that wont leave when the chips are down. I have played some epic games 2-3 hours long, in which the lead changes back and forth.
Human makes errors and commanders and marines are fallible. As far as I am concerned the game is not over till the fat lady sings. A badly placed turret factory, a mistaken recycle, a lapse in concentration or loss of cohesion on the opposing side is all thats needed to bring your side back into the game. The victories at these times are all the more sweeter.
