I Have Some Weird Problem With My Fps

598 mhz celleron
198 mb ram ddr
voodoo 3 16 mb
run the game at 800 x 600 opengl
well when i start the game ready room all good fps (50 fps )
when i pick a team it goes back to 20 - 30 fps the game is already runnung and much much buildings are already build it does not matter my fps stays good but when i get to close to it my fps drops and is never ever coming up again where i go never it stays around 9 fps and this is the same when i go commander i get out and my fps is reduced with 10 or 20 fps sometimes

Let me see, ur saying that ur framerate is like 20-30, but, if you walk up close to a building, it falls to like 9fps. It then stays like this forever, no matter where u move.

Well, that graphics card is getting on abit (voodoo 3). Have u read the frame rate tweak guide? Its at the top of this forum.
Make sure you have the lastest drivers for it.
Well, basically your card is slowing your whole system down. The processor and the memory is fine, but the card is bad <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Im sure you could pick up a Geforce2 for cheap from somewhere.
