Odd Microphone Problem

<div class="IPBDescription">very annoying...</div> Been having a weird problem with my mic. Whenever I talk in game my speech icon on the right of the screen flashes on and off and my voice blinks in and out with it. My mic works fine elsewhere, including in voice tweak. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if anyone has any suggestions to fix this.

I'm using Windows XP Home
Have a 2 Gig Pentium 4
256 RAM
An SB Audigy Audio and GeForce 4 4200 with 128 VRAM
And a standard Mic

Any suggestions?

    same specs as u but 2.6 ghz and im using a headset

    i have the same problem, also.

    Windows XP Pro
    1.4Ghz Athlon XP
    256 MB RAM
    SB PCI 128 (onboard - Gigabyte)

    Thought it was my CAPSLOCK key going bad, but on some servers I have flawless performance (even with pings as high as 200). And on some servers, even with a 40 ping, I have this problem.

    .. so, the voice is blinking in and out. Have I misunderstood your intended suggestion, or did you just miss this description in the original post?

    i fixed the problem with mine... i just downloaded the audigy driver patch and now it doesnt screw up at all so i recommend getting the patch
