Brilliant site for checking the availability of steam login!
And some, like Awesomenauts, will throw you out in the middle of a match if you lose the connection to Steam. It's actually pretty funny to watch one guy after another getting kicked from your game because it basically tells you "Yep, Steam is going down again. Let's see when it's going to hit me...".
My internet doesn't seem to be working at all, this just isn't acceptable! I demand you fix google so my internet works!"
valve refuses to make announcements about it
Yeah, doesn't make for good marketing especially with upcoming Steamboxes, with Valves clout I wouldnt want to be the one doing it.
I really don't understand what pleasure it gives people using LOIC.... idiots..
:-B
Anyone knows a EU fix (US hotspot one not working)?
Edit: Yes it was the SteamGuard. I had to reinstall Steam completely, including all games.
DDoS on such a scale (if it's true) is usually for economical blackmail. Apparently happens to booking services, online casinos etc. pretty frequently.
"That's a nice online service you've got there. Wouldn't it be a SHAME if something took it offline..."
So you're saying that Valve's servers are getting held for ransom by a bunch of nerds with computers...HL3 CONFIRMED (or steam will explode)
"Thats a nice company you've got there, wouldn't it be a shame if HL3 was never released?"
But sure, that's another theory. ^^
Unless... servers being prepared for something big.
Yup, HL3 confirmed.
You know there are other ways of DDOS'ing than LOIC, right?
LOIC gets alot of publicity because it's user friendly, you don't really think real hackers use this?
Yea, you know, criminals? Heard of heartbleed recently? Do you have a clue about any of this?
