Despite all the problems we had at release I think Reinforced was my favorite because working through all those challenges was very rewarding. Biodome is one of my favorite maps thanks to insane number of games we played on it between PTing it for months and helping fill the PAX booth server all weekend with PTs.

I enjoyed Gorgeous. I think I had only just bought the game about a week earlier. All of a sudden there were gorge tunnels and babblers in my build menu... Oh cool did they just add that this week??? I can't wait to see what they add in next week! My ridiculously high expectations were quickly brought back down to realistic levels. Descent was cool though!
Gorgeous was so bad I lost interest in the game for a few months, to return just in time for reinforced.
Isn't Kodiak the only build that's introduced considerable new content and not broken everything? At least thats how I remember all the previous updates!

when they remade part of the game like the swap from 1 shell per upgrade to the 3 shell system.
best evah. (as I can be selfish and didnt have performance issues)

I really liked that updated early after release, somewhere between 229-23x, where they made regen so OP, you could regenerate insanely fast even under enemy fire.
265. only build i can think of that wasn't full of bugs. Gorgeous was probably the worst, added new boring, non-competitive ideas and reduced performance.

You don't like gorge tunnels? I thought those were very useful competitively =P
As added bonus, it's a great place for gorges to chill out when there are few vents =D

Agree. I don't have a favorite update, but if there was a least favorite update, gorgeous would be it by a long, long shot.
Gorge tunnels weren't necessary for the game, still aren't, Descent is quite bleh IMO, and that build just demolished performance and introduced game-breaking bugs like 10-15 seconds of HDD grinding when entering tunnels and certain situations to the point where I had to stop playing until they patched the models to reduce memory usage.
If I had to pick a favorite, I would've said somewhere before 249. I really think things were running great at some point, before gorgeous.

Anyway...
But I agree with Benson. LuaJIT was probably the best patch simply from the performance boost.
I really love some of the new content, but it almost isn't even a contest. When I think of memorable patches I think b249 and b250.
So i dont feel like them - none of them:D
Hope in future there is NS2 update not creat new error:))
Isn't the action "to update" the same as "create bugs"
b250 flamer spam = apocalypse

Erm, b249 was the build that made you walk slower to use camo? Or was it 250?
It was before b250.
UWE removed a feature like that?
Why UWE, WHY? I want to breakdance, I have my RIGHTS! =D
I am almost certain it was 249.
