Screen tearing with v-sync!!

Hi, I've been away from this game for a while now. This is because when I play with v-sync enabled (I am running SLI 2x660) I get screen tearing in the middle of the screen, in a horizontal line. If I disable v-sync this disappears, but instead I get stuttering and a non-smooth gaming experience. Also the game overrides nvidia settings, since the v-sync is always disabled as default each time I start the game, even though v-sync is enabled in options. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and perhaps found a solution?
Best regards
Erik

Have you tried setting your nvidia control panel settings to application determined instead of forcing one way or another?

Also, SLI is going to act much different, and yes there have been some mishaps with nvidia drivers and SLI in the past, regarding NS2.
Here's an informative thread on the matter and settings you can apply. (And the user, Dictator is very helpful)

Thanks for the link. I tried your suggestion with no improvment. But I switched from DX9 to DX11, which is way smoother with v-sync off. Thanks again!

You can have screen tearing with vsync, as vysnc only solves 1 cause of it.

The v-sync option is broken. You have to disable it and renable it each time you launch the program to get it to work.

And also you can buy a car for the price of a G-Sync monitor.

    @halfofaheaven
No doubt, but i feel that WAY more people would be willing to dish out the cash if they could experience it for themselves.
Its something that has to be seen with ones own eyes to fully appreciate and understand what a massive improvement it is over a regular monitor.
If you ever get a chance to demo one DO IT.

I'd rather not, as I don't wanna be tempted to spend that much. :P

Vsync is reported as broken currently
Feel free to track our public trello board in the future when it gets added to the list /being worked on

It's actually not so bad that it's broken (if you don't have a 120 Hz monitor and very few of us do). I feel the VSync lag very well and in such dynamic game it really means whether you survive or die in a skulk battle. It works on Linux but I disable it deliberately.

yea the triple buffering aspect which is supposed to reduce the mouse lag is not working, and vsync itself is disabled in between map changes.
You can try using the debug command, maxfps 60 (or 120 if you have a 120hz) which can help alleviate some of these issues

    Where is the trello board?
