missing executable what does that mean

can some one please tell me what the missing the executable means because i have just got the game and ive been waiting months for it and now i cant play it because it comes up saying missing executable and can you please tell me how to fix it or how i can re download it i got it off humble bundle please help me

    You dont download it from humble, you put the steam code it gives you into steam, or link it to steam via the button they give you.

    If Steam is saying 'missing executable' it looks like Steam failed to download NS2 properly. Verify your NS2 steam cache and that should fix it up. If not, delete from steam and re-download.

    sorry im a total noob how do you re download sorry total noob and i have tried the verify integrity of game cache and it said 1 file
