As commander, I have to hunt all over the place manually for the resource nodes, whilst I can see power nodes very clearly. I'd suggest a much brighter, colourful icon to allow players to more easily see where the key points are.

I can't say I have this problem, but it would be nice to have map entities colored differently than their surrounding grey. Ie, unclaimed techpoints could be a dull orange color, resource nodes some other color. Nothing too bright, but it shouldn't stay grey.
Well the resource nodes aren't hard to find AFTER someone built a RT over it, but until it's claimed it should have a Purple (or some none Blue/Orange) color symbol, and the Power Nodes should have a visible "thunder" symbol.
I dont think this is necessary at all. They already have a symbol on the map, and 99% of it is just gettin familiar w/ the map. If you can look at the map, you can see res nodes. I cant imagine you're spending more than a few seconds finding the rt in a room.
If it's something that would be implemented, I would prefer to have it as somethin that I could toggle off because it's certainly not an issue for me, and I'd guess a majority of players.
I dont see any reason for this to not be added besides that it is more work on the CDT's table. This also does not seem necessary to me as I do have many hours in and just know where rt's are though.
This suggestion seems to be focused on helping newer players understand where the important rooms are on the map, as well as allowing new coms to quickly locate where res nodes are on the map. It would be quick to do and could be accomplished easily with a mod that changes the map color for unclaimed res nodes, or res nodes that you don't have vision on.
It should just be as simple as changing the image that represents "resource node" on the map. It's dynamically placed based on the position of the nozzle, so it must be a separate image.
It might also be worth including a Legend on the maps (you know, like maps are supposed to have) to further clarify things.
