<div class="IPBDescription">To conserve ammo</div> type this in your console if you want a 8 round burst fire for your LMG ( I have not tried this with HMG)
Will not work with pistol (only fire 1 shot ) With knife it attacks 3 times.
bind mouse2 "+attack ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; wait ; -attack"
That should give you a 8 round burst, enough to kill a skulk with one click. This does not increase the speed of firing etc. It only fires 8 rounds so that you can conserve ammo.
NOTICE : While firing you will continue in the same direction before you fired, if you have not moved before, you will be unable to move til the 8 rounds have fired. This will also disable the pop up menu, and is only recommended if you have assigned another key to the menu.
I have tested this and it does work.
Also, If you have a mouse with a wheel i would recommend this.
bind MWHEELUP "impulse 10 ; say_team <<Commander, I need Health>>"
bind MWHEELDOWN "impulse 11 ; say_team <<Commander, I need ammo>>"
Make sure that you have the menu assigned to a key. [B]
I would suggest 5 or mouse3 for the menu.
EDIT: Also, I have just learned of binding as of 3 o clock this morning, so im afraid beyond this i cant help you out much more. Maybe in a later time.

Skulks take 9 LMG bullets to kill; 19 if they have level 3 carapace.
I recommend that marines just learn discipline with their weapon. "Remember, short, controlled bursts."
but if we get al these scripts to help us.. even firing.. we might as well get a bot to play NS for us
i think if marines cant learn to **obscenity**.. they shouldnt play... the only script i use is for CO and for morphing/evolvs... and radio commands
btw... wuts ur tips for shotting a skulk if they are very close.... spray? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Run at him, to put off the timing, slightly jump to one side, and spray past as he goes around/under you.
EDIT: yes i know this sounds stupid and u can imagine an idiot jumping for his life.. but it works..... 60-70% of the time? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> AT LEAST 50% <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I remember it did with the old CS-Glock because it had no cooldown time and no accuracy and the same damage, so it was like "TAKE 20 BULLETS NOW"
As a marine, well.
whu? why! w-why w-w-would they do this? Why? whu WHY?
Mouse weel for pistol is stupid, if they wanted it to fire like an automatic weapon they'd make it automatic. (duh).

Sorry if caused such a ruckus. Although i have to say, putting say_team<<enemy spotted>> with the radio command for your right click works great. You can easily alert everyone in the room with one click of the right click, instead of having to type or talk into the mic (which no one knows whose talking, and where )
bind "MOUSE2" "impulse 13 ; say_team <<Enemy Spotted>>"
And no full-auto is especially bad when you have a fade hot on your **obscenity** or there's a lot of skulks.
Thanks in advance.

that youre under attack and your current location. any1 know
how to do that?
There is currently no way to script this in Natural Selection. It requires engine support. (Which is a real shame)
What you CAN do, if you're a pedantic power-gamer with far too much time on your hands, is setup a bunch of .cfg files (or a set of aliases), that each contain a standardised set of binds (customised for the map). Note: You could bind each pair to one key and use a bind-swapping alias, if you wish. Either way.
You'll note that the hives move in clockwise order. This makes it easy to remember, much like using the numpad for a command script.
E.g.
exec nothing.cfg
bind F1 "team_say Cargo Bay Hive: Under Attack!!"
bind F2 "team_say Cargo Bay Hive: Clear!"
bind F3 "team_say Great Viaduct Hive: Under Attack!!"
bind F4 "team_say Great Viaduct Hive: Clear!"
bind F5 "team_say Power Silo Hive: Under Attack!!"
bind F6 "team_say Power Silo Hive: Clear!"
exec bast.cfg
bind F1 "team_say Engine Hive: Under Attack!!"
bind F2 "team_say Engine Hive: Clear!"
bind F3 "team_say Refinery Hive: Under Attack!!"
bind F4 "team_say Refinery Hive: Clear!"
bind F5 "team_say Feedwater Hive: Under Attack!!"
bind F6 "team_say Feedwater Hive: Clear!"

Oy. WAY too much scripting for me. I unbind the keys of script kiddies when I see them. Harsh, but they often learn the folly of their ways.
I think your being a little harsh narfwak for unbinding because they scripted so they can say their hive is under attack, or any other team related message.
I mean come on, some people need to because they can use voice comm, so its in no way giving them an edge because they can automatically make text messages, voice communicators can do the same.
exec nothing.cfg
bind F1 "team_say Cargo Bay Hive: Under Attack!!"
bind F2 "team_say Cargo Bay Hive: Clear!"

why don't you just use F1 - F12. Save yourself the trouble of binding the rest. Of course you could have a script like bastnothing.cfg and load that for this particular script, and so forth with the other maps.
Spray and pray works dandy for me too. Theres nothing to beat it at close range.
