Outside faces? You can use my Blender exporter to get the level geo without any of the extra garbage faces.
It doesn't play very well, marines are just able to move everywhere too quickly, no later who starts where, or any minor changes made. It would need a lot of changes in order for it to be playable. I guess I never made a forum thread even though I thought I did.

As far as porting from ns1 to ns2 whatever you do DO NOT do it the way that it says to on the forums in the tutorials. Do it using a bsp importer and BLENDER with beige's level export plugin or you will have extra faces!
I'll write a tutorial doing it the correct way in a the next few days.
Eon is an NS1 map released later in NS1 development http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/65102/ns-eon
It was made by Olmy (who lead creation of Tram and Biodome). It's a battleship shaped map with 4 techpoints.

I would still be interested in working on it if I could get it tested more often, but you are more than welcome to work/help on it.
There would have to be some big changes to the layout to make it work with NS2.
Hey SamusDroid,
Looked at the map and ran around in it. It needs to be all rearranged and a 5th tech point needs to be placed some where. Would make it much better. Liked what you did with the hight issue in the core hive, But the marines could just stand back and shoot it. Also that noise in the Bridge Hive has to go would drive players crazy, lol. Some of the texturing looks very nice. I know you were far from done. Lots of holes in the map as well. Well would maybe like to work on it. Never worked on a map with someone else. So don't know how that goes , But would maybe like to spend some time at it to see if it looks like, it could work.
Also please tell me how in a step by step tutorial how to using a bsp importer and BLENDER with beige's level export plugin.
And any addon that will be required to make it work.
Thanks, Max
Here is the tutorial.
Yes, the sound is a bit loud but I added it because it was in the original eon, but it can always be turned down. I know I'm terrible at creating new geo/detailing (working on that).
Yes there are holes, I never got around to fixing them.
The theme I was going for on Eon is an Eclipse/Descent theme, but before I detailed any further I wanted to get games played on it, which never happened.
I also stopped working on it to help Zavaro with Altair (which he is "getting to")
Working on a map with someone else is easy with programs like copy to sync progress.
For those curious what Eon is
Edit: found my thread http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/134190/ns-eon-remake#latest
as far as i know its a map from NS1. like a spaceship of sorts... researching black holes aka. space anuses ^^
