Well, here I am, didn't have any work tomarrow, so I though I'd stay up a bit to get more of a handle on experience with Natural Selection. Joined marines, had a great commander, felt like I was in the movies... but...

as I played, started to get a bit tired, so I thought, "Man, it's really getting late, I should get some sleep" so I turned around and know what I saw? Daylight, yes, that's right, I stayed up till 6 in the morning playing Natural Selection. We need a patch to fix this a s a p, Natural Selection is to good! <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'>

Heh, seriously, you guys did a great job. Best team-based game I've never played, period. Keep it up!

heh, cant count the number of times i've done that, its like, hey! where did all that light come from? (once i actualy didnt even notice till there was a glare on my comp and it was noon rofl)

Yes. Far better graphics, alot less 12 year olds screaming an wanting to slap eachother (other than one guy who kept singing all night with the mic, and we couldn't mute him),

You have your HWG (heavy armor and machine gun)/ Orono
You have your solider (soldier) (fade)
You have your engineer (Commander) (Gorge)
No spy, but the Commander does have limited "spying" abilities, and aliens can use hive sight
Medic is Commander / Gorge
Sniper, well, no open areas, so no use for that
Scout is Lurker (or whatever the default alien is)

any other classes in TFC I'm leaving out?

This game required nearly absolute teamwork...and if you're in a good server, the teamwork is awesome.

Only thing that bugs me is gettnig stuck in buildings when comms put them down. That, and how alien have a huge advantage by just being able to work alone and morph into a fade and run in slaughternig everyone, while the marines have to stand there naked waiting until the comm has enough resources to give everyone armor.

I've only been Alien a couple of times, but I did get stuck a few times as Onos <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'> never got blink to even work.

I agree it is awesome with the long games. I can play for like 8 hours straight easy, With a couple of smoko breaks. hehe i have played NS for about 11 hours straight , Hard to stop.
Again three cheers for the NS team.
And yes its better than TFC i think anyway.

Nothing is quite like the feeling of hitting the disconnect button and exit button, then realising:

1. It is very, very cold
2. You have not eaten or drank in over 6 hours
3. Your wrist is in massive pain

TFC is soo much faster than NS , and imo better for Clan Matches, only reason i dont play it is beacuse iv been playing it non-stop for 4 years and i need a break.

um...you do realize the only reason clan matches are better is because NS has been out for 3 and a half months and TFC has been out for 4 or 5 years? The skill level is much much lower in NS because of the simple time factor.

I've mostly played NS since just after it came out. Don't know about the other mods. I was not that interested in even trying some of the newer games until I got my new 'puter in June.
Read about NS in the Gamespy daily newsletter or somewhere and though "lets give it a go".

Since then I have been getting a LOT less sleep. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'> My biggest problem is living in the sticks and getting crappy connect speeds. Its still reasonably doable though I do tend to get killed a lot. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'>

Unfortuanantly no known cure for reading S&I forum. I've heard rumors that knifing an onos to death (alone, while being spore-spammed by 2 lerks) can cure you, but that's just folklore.

On the topic of what mod is better, I used to play TFC a lot, now I'm planing on deleating it.
