Font Problems

so i returned to NS2 after a half year pause and got a font problem as on screenshot, It is *loading*. After loading its all ok. I can read all english words of menu, news and all other. When i enter game and push TAB button i cant read a thing. Its all in that font as on screenshot. Names, sides, HP/Ammo, Map, cant read. So i tried to change language. 1st as a test used Bulgarian - half of main menu font disappeared, i can click them, but i cant read what tab it is. Changet language to my native Russian - All font disappeared, not only main menu.

    Did you already validate your game file cache via steam? If not please do so now ;)

    Hmm weird overall your logs tells me that is has issues loading some files. Anyway maybe switch to English and get this mod (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=300019157) and enable it after that switch back to russian and see if that helps.

    Otherwise delete the core folder in your ns2 install folder and try validating again. To me it looks like your font textures are corrupt.

    error in logs are mods that are nomore supported. Well it did helped now. even on native language. still strange broblem. Btw where are mods stored in folder ?

    i have a mod.. with out a name. that is not supported but it tries to download. in Workshop i dont have this mod subscribet but in game its subscribet.

    Thx. Well now its more clean. but this unnamed mode is still there.. Workshop says **Showing -7 of 8 entries** on a 30 per page... whers 8 ... how to solv it some one knows?

    Do the following:

    (0. Make sure NS2 is not running)

    1. Disable Steam Cloud Synching for NS2
    2. Go to this folder: /Steam/userdata/<steamid>/4920/remote
    2a. (Easy way, but will reset your settings) Delete the xml file
    2b. (Otherwise do this which will only reset the selcted mods) Open the xml with a text editor (like e.g. notepad++ ).
    Search for <active_mods> and delete everthing between <active_mods> and </active_mods>.
    After that save the file.
    3. Restart NS2

    After this the empty mod should be gone.

    Once it's fixed you can re enable steam cloud again :)

    Nope didnt worked. Well it was not active if we speak about *active* as *active*. Addt Screenshot. In xml file i had 6 active good working mods that i do have on Workshop, out of 7 (working). But it says i have 8 subscribes, but have only 7 and game says i have 8 still.

    Well if they are still showing like that, then they are present still in your Workshop folder or in your options.xml file
    You cannot leave some mods active or lingering.

    REMOVE ALL MODS from NS2. This means unsubscribe from all NS2 mods, delete the workshop folder, and modify your options.xml folder.
    Only then can we asses if there's still an issue.
