Constructor/sub despawning?

Is this a glitch? I got out of the mini sub to look around for resources and now neither it nor the constructor is anywhere to be seen.

It didn't happen to me so far (Build 10978) but it's definately not planned.

Most likely a bug.

I will be trying again today after work and keeping them close to the lifepod to eliminate any chance albeit unlikely of it potentially being misplaced. I mean the sub may be easy to miss but the constructor I know was within line of sight of the pod and it is gone.
