Hmmmm, this could be a very interesting Game to Port to a Tabletop Version (Maybe, Maybe Not).

Hi.

Okay first off I'm only thinking, and dreaming here so for those who think it's a crazy idea can stop right there, and not take cheap shots at me.

Lately I have been getting back into tabletop games by using a frontend (I won't advertise the software), but I began to think how this incredible game could be ported over to tabletop, and after thumbing through much of the material, and playing this fantastic game I come to realize it can be done, and done in such aa way that you could have up to Eights players.

Now of course this is only be me thinking about it, and also I would never do anything without the full consent from Unknown Worlds before I even began. Maybe Unknown Worlds after they finally get the game to a final stage would create such a port... who knows right?

Anyway, just thinking here for now. I would love to hear from the devs about this idea, and see what the think.

Cheers!

its a nice idea the art style dose lend itself to it but the true success is in its instant 3d freedom and instant discovery factor which is something much harder to emulate on a 2d table top simulator

    just my 2 cents

With this particular 3D tabletop simulator, you could without any problems allow for tile sets to be placed one on top of one another for above ground locations, and other tile sets have marked depth with randomized cave markers, along with separate tiles for cave systems, and etc.

The tables can be very large in this game (3D Tabletop Frontend) which would allow for a very diverse environment for Subnautica. There is nothing really which would get in the way of creating this (except of course unknown worlds say no, then the idea dies). In my little pea of a brain, I see it all pretty much layed out from cards made, creature tokens, materials required to build bases, and etc.

Anyway, thanks for your reply The_Hawk.
