why? I mean seriously... if you're playing the newer experimental builds, specifically the most recent you'd notice that they increased the amount of scrap metal by a LOT. Shallows actually look like a scrap yard where a ship crashed, place is littered with them. I've spent more time gathering the pieces near the escape pod then gathering other materials... think I got enough to make a decent sized base with it.
Yea. There are piles of metal everywhere and the stone chunks give up tons of titanium now too. Titanium and copper are just about the only things I never run short of.
it's not because of the amount of titanium. Getting 2 titaniums for carrying a thing which takes 4 inventory boxes is imo a little bit waste. And it is too much repetitive to get titaniums again and again.
I agree. Breaking down a 4-slot item into 2 1-slot item makes gathering ressources seem more of a grind. Just make scrap metal a little rarer and make it give 3 items in recycling. Also I propose it still giving 2 titanium and 1 randomized between copper, silver and gold. Weighted of course.
2 titanium + 1 random one is also great idea! I meant that it's kind of odd to get two 1-slot items from 4 slot large one, not that titanium is rare or hard to find or something.
I don't find it that odd. After all you're scrapping down chunks of ship metal and taking just the useful parts. It IS annoying how they are such large pieces in the first place though, but I reckon that concern might get less of a bother once we can put our fins/tanks/snorkel/sand spade/bucket/fish&chips etc. actually ON our character. By that I mean our inventory will get a rework with a little stick figure of sorts with specialised slots on it. This will clear up our main holding area somewhat (This is what I gather from the trello boards anyway: It's NOT definite confirmed but it would be pretty dumb if this didn't happen!)
