Try downloading the latest Microsoft Service Pack for your Operating system. I am pretty sure this is a windows problem, and not Natural Selection. You might want to just run "Windows Update" and download all the new updates - it sounds like you're using out of date windows drivers.

Your HL.EXE may be corrupt, or other files. Try reinstalling Half-Life.

Thanks, but I have re-installed Half-Life twice and even deleted the Sierra folder and HLs registry keys, but it still gets the sane error. I have found no way to fix this. CAN ANYONE THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE THAT MIGHT FIX THIS PROBLEM ?

Please Help Some More

Completely format your hard drive and reinstall Windows.
Well, it'd fix it...but uh...that's only if you're willing to do it.
Might want to wait and see if there are other solutions first though.

MSVC++ can do that sometimes.. to quote NS hive voice lets just say "This place is a mess" . I dont know why ) . I have uninstalled MSVC++ many times over past years, and it always leaves something behind, like the "Application error . Press OK to end program, or press CANCEL to debug.' Window. Probably the biggest annoyance ever created.

You should disable everything you dont really use ingame from clientside like
voice comm, music, eax/(the other 3d sound thingy). Some of these might be doing something. I sometimes get "Application error - memory cant be read 0xInsertHexAddressHere)' ..its because of excessive amounts of webs/mines at least for me

It was a nice notion, but unfortunately for me, still doesn't work. However, i tried running NS is D3D instead of OpenGL, and in that, it just crashes the PC completely rather than giving me the Runtime Error. If there is a fix to stop D3D crashing the PC when in NS, that should work i treak i reckon. If anyone knows how this can be done, i think perhaps i'll be sorted then.

Please does anyone know how and if this can be done or if there os a patch or fix ?

Thanx
