I booted the game up yesterday for the first time in a while, and what have you done to the seamoth? I was so much fun to drive around in your first implementation.
Now it's discomforting, the moment I got my seamoth out for a spin, I wanted to quit the game..
1. It turns so slowly, and it does it with some kind of stutter, it's difficult for me to describe, but I think your 'animation wants to be somewhere, but is not entirely sure on where that is, so it does an animation to a point, then instantly rotates a bit.
2. It doesn't turn all the way to where you look, instead it shifts your view back. Never ever take control away from the player.
3. Exiting the Seamoth is discomforting as well, the player should look in the same direction as he was when he was about to exit the vehicle.
4. I'm moving too fast for terrain to load properly, sometimes terrain spawn right in front of me, so crash into it.
5. I experience a lot of stuttering when I'm driving around the seamoth looking for loot. (Might be related to number 4, but it detracts from my fun as well.)
Suggestions for solutions:
1. Increase turn speed, find out why it stutters in it's animation and apply a fix for that as well.
2. Don't alter the players view, instead alter the rotation of the Seamoth, if a player turns to face a certain point, the seamoth should turn to face that, not meet on the middle point.
3. Grab the orientation of the Seamoth when the player wants to exit. Apply said orientation to player, then spawn the player outside.
4. Doesn't require an immediate fix, but optimizations should be made to load terrain faster, or load a very simple terrain at least. Alternative fix would be to lower the speed of the Seamoth, but I feel like that would take away from gameplay.
I get that this is early access and all, I just wanted to let you know on my current feelings of the game.
Specs are:
i7-4770K 3.5ghz
8gb ddr3 (1600mhz cl 9)
GTX 780ti
Windows 8.1 64x
Granted, I am playing on experimental graphics, which might have something to do with the slow loading of terrain and stuttering.
Let me know if you need to know anything else.

'a' and 'd' should do it - move to the left/right without turning - I use it a lot, nice for docking

Nice, I didn't see that. I will head on over
