Idea for the devs "Floats for salving"

I posted this on steam as well just saying so no one says i'm stealing the idea.

Just a thought maybe exterior floats to help you salvage sunken cyclops seamoths and exosuits.
simply a deploy-able item that maybe has two sizes one for the cyclops the other for everything else. you would place a couple on the exterior and activate them to help bring them out of crush depth for repairs. the cyclops variant could require multiple ones deployed and maybe the repair of some rooms and drainage of said rooms

    You can already attach the floaters to the subs and drag them to the surface.

    Floaters do seem a bit goofy, but it does look like the devs are interested in large floats. The trello board mentions they are planning to work on a large floater for the next update. Would fill the role of salvaging a sunken Cyclops, or maybe floating bases too? I agree with you, it would be cool to have salvage bags that could be filled off an extra air tank. Would be nice to have more control over buoyancy. But I'm open to seeing what the devs have in mind for floaters.

    I think he means we already have floaters. Floats would be a little redundant at this stage of development.

    I brought this up during a public test session, about various equipment upgrades, like upgrading the meager (and generally useless) cargo crate with floaters and a beacon so you can 'float and find' stuff. The point being that crates suck right now, and things like the Air Bladder are functionally useless below 200m, so why constrain them to early play. Reception was positive, although it may take time for them to do anything about it with everything else on the plate like fixing seabases and playing with.. things for.. stuff.

    Oh well. If anything Early Access games has trained me for, is to never hold my breath. Thus, I'm out of the pool for a bit and I'll see what they prioritize as the updates roll.
