The fish personality animations are too cute and not in a good way

I really love the idea of more personality for the different fish but maybe not these ones. The ones posted to Trello are fantastic, cute, and slightly adorable which would be great for a Pixar movie but not so great when we have to eat hundreds of them to stay alive in game. Maybe one cute fish would be enough. Making them all adorable is just too much.

The peepers are making cute chirping noises while doing back flips. I wonder how many I can catch and roast.

    I think what they're going for is the fact that these aren't just "fish" they're also intelligent and sometimes friendly, alien life.


    We humans eat millions of cows,sheep,pigs and chickens IRL that have personalities, so I'm not sure this is much different

    Not only that, but maybe they're going to incorporate some of these "personalities" into things like breeding and courtship displays amongst the creatures as well, perhaps male peepers will have to display for females before they can mate.

    Actually I think it's a great idea; it makes the game world feel more alive than just full of food/decoration.

    If a stalker starts making cute chirping noises while doing backflips, I'd agree with you. But it seems fine for a peeper. In fact having such obvious differences in behavior might be a nice way for the player to learn which animals are ok to approach and which aren't.

    Aside from, y'know, letting them bite you or something :P
