Biome Suggestion: Behemoth's Final Resting Place

Hi everyone, I'm new to Subnautica and I just wanted to post a quick biome suggestion for you all that just came to mind.

This idea is based on the real world phenomenon of whale fall, ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whale_fall ) , where a large whale falls to the bottom of the ocean and an ecosystem builds up around its carcass.

Similarly, The new biome involves the remains/bones of an extremely large sea creature, perhaps even Aurora sized, which have come to rest on the ocean floor. Throughout this biome is a unique ecosystem of decomposers and bottomfeeders that are living off the creature.

Thanks, tell me what you think.

I like that idea. Could also house a creature similar to hagfish, those are typical for whale falls.

I like this idea, maybe it could be the remains of a former Sea Emperor?
Perhaps each Emperor becomes dominant by killing the previous one, the carcass could show signs of a violent death: shattered ribs, enormous teeth marks on the bones etc, it could be quite an intimidating sight.

Not a bad idea, if/when they create a more "Abyssal" style zone it would be interesting to implement this concept since between thermal vents in the real world there's not a lot of life besides whale falls.

That one fish in the original video was good enough to be in subnautica! Also good idea I have seen a sketch of this already made on the suggestions forum.

There was talk by the devs about an "Abandoned River" biome that focuses on the creepy aspects. I would love to see more biomes in the deep sea that focused on the frightening side of the Ocean. The Ocean can be a pretty scary place, and I know of a lot of people who would be very excited to see more creepy ocean stuff in video games. I think the idea of a decaying corpse Biome would be pretty cool. Maybe "Tubes" inside the corpse that work ala caves, but with a creepy bioorganic factor to them.

I was thinking of suggesting this idea my self and thought it would be a perfect set piece for the "lost river" biome.

A giant corpse acting as a bridge over a foggy river of brine. And of course infested with all sorts of parasites and scavengers. Perhaps the still intact eye could be a crafting item.

However, I don't think the concept can be a biome unto itself. Not large enough and I doubt one could justify a ground littered with nothing but corpses. It fits lost river so well.

I would be glad I was wearing a mask if I went there :P. In all seriousness, it would be really cool to see some sort of giant corpse or skeleton of a huge sea creature of some sort.

Yeah, a super-massive critter that's mostly bones. Flesh doesn't last too long where it's available. Or it could be a reefback graveyard. Have your scavenger ecosystem there with all the horrid beasties to be found.

As for the leviathan, I see it like a massive skeleton. Swim around in its bones and leftover cartilage. If it were meaty, it'd need to be relatively fresh. Perhaps we can watch it get consumed over time?

I think this would be an awesome addition to areas under 250-300m. You could collect bone fragments for crafting, and it would bring life (oh irony) to the deep desolate sands.
