Map and future updates.

I would like to see the map extended much more. Many players like to go exploring and an absolutely gigantic map would keep them busy.
Maybe some future expansions should include some Easter eggs. Things that are not mentioned in the dev blog so we don't go searching for them, it's a bonus if we find them. Possibly even underwater alien structures that we can modify to make a base for ourselves. Imagine finding a huge facility with multiple large rectangular rooms that we can build an airlock on the side to enter. Possibly even have to pump out the water from inside as well since the aliens were aquatic. It then leads to questions:
Are the aliens still around somewhere?
Are they Friendly?
Will they come back to this base at some point?
Should I be worried that they'll find out about me?
We could also find alien tech we can deconstruct to create blueprints for new and exciting stuff. Maybe plans we have to decipher to make a similar type of base. New kinds of transportation, propulsion and such that we can modify for our own use. If the devs gave no clue about these things, we won't know what it is, how to interact with it etc. Beta testers who want to test it would have to agree to a NDA to test it so the majority of players won't know anything about it when they find it. I don't usually read the patch notes beyond the bug fixes so anything new that's been added is a nice surprise.

it would be very cool to see an aquatic alien base or living place. It could be a thing as the aliens think humans are invaders and must find a way to convince them that you mean no harm. Thats just my 2cents
Would be cool who in the ancient ruins plans for would be to find a special diving suit or upgrade parts.
Maybe even small puzzles to in secret rooms to come.
Perhaps were the aliens with others in the war and made it a weapon not identified each ship is attacking.
The aliens could be extinct Yes over 10,000 years but the gun does nor always their service.
Maybe this planet even to eliminate population from an ice planet was heated by the enemy aliens to the indigenous.
And the planet as it is today is the result.
Would be maybe also interesting wen na approx. 150 or more game days another ship crashes with a new unknown threat!
So many possibilities so much potential!
If the alien civilization things was runes and glowing stones it might be very aesthetic and useful for generating some interesting areas but I would steer away from technologically advanced and more towards an evolved race with special abilities.
I once pitched a suggestion for a link of objectives related to technology advancement and encounters with larger deep sea life all starting with a second crashing ship. To much of a clear objective might ruin the exploration feeling so all I really hope for is that the world only goes deeper and grows more.
How about possibly finding bio tech that can allow you to make biologically engineered items like habitats and weapons? It would make sense that any indigenous sentient life may use the more plentiful resources from the creatures around them and the individual parts of a base, weapon or even transportation are grown rather than constructed. The bio-engineered parts are grown using templates you find (similar to blueprints) but then you have the problem of how to put them together and which ones are not part of the device to make a working device etc, almost like several jigsaw puzzles all mixed together and you have to make several pictures out of them.
Maybe due to this, you find out that the behemoth isn't a real creature after all, it's an alien sub. Where it once had a very limited AI to aid the pilot, it has evolved over thousands of years to a basic sentience which is why it now acts as a creature.
I feel like that would make this game less original. The focus on underwater 'natural' biomes that take their inspiration from Earth sub-aqua biomes seems much more interesting to me.
Certainly a wreck or two wouldn't go amiss, but only in it's structural contrast to the rest of the biome. I would rather that development effort is spent realising procedurally interesting biomes, then glorified treasure chests. This is fundamentally an exploration game after all... and I've done 'alien space ship exploration'.
I would like to see more extreme biomes. Particularly with VR support inbound, ideas like coral reefs on a water planet, where a fan coral has had the chance to grow undisturbed for millions of years... where the fringes of the coral have developed, evolutionarily speak from it's original base lifeform... corals 100's of feet tall. Way more interesting than another steel corridor.
They should be eerie and somewhat dangerous to explore, but I think there should be something at the end that makes it worthwhile.
You can find ruins of an old alien civilization, but the creature are already extinct. Somehow you can find out how to read their language. The huge black monolith behind the floater island would include lots of alien writings, and by deciphering the text you can find out information about the history of the planet. Also there could be other ancient landmarks with text on them.
