The lack of self-awareness in making "zoo race" is astounding, assuming they weren't trying to take the piss.
This is a Wolfenstein 3D clone for the SNES. Rumour has it ID gave the source code to wisdom tree because they were pissed off at the ridiculous levels of censorship in the offical Wolfenstein 3D port for the SNES.

"Sh*t hawks. Big, dirty, sh*t hawks. They're coming, Bubbles. They're flying in low. They're swooping down, sh*tting on people and dragging them off to the big sh*t nest."
"I'm self-smarted, basically."
"I mean nobody wants to admit they eat 9 cans of ravioli, but I did and I'm ashamed of myself."

He fucks up at 3:12. You can very clearly see him turn his hand with a coin in it, and smacking that coin to the bottom of the table. You can't see clearly where one of the three coins go, but I would say it's likely they contain small and powerful neodymium magnets such that they don't seem magnetic unless you stack them directly ontop of each other, and that with clever placement he knocks one coin in under the other so that they snap togheter. It is not obvious that two of the the coins have doubled up, perhaps one is smaller than the other so you don't see it clearly when it lies beneath the other?
It is unfortunate that the NES had such a weaksauce sound chip. The C64 had the excellent SID-chip and kinda weak graphics hardware, which resulted in a lot of mostly crummy and forgettable games with excellent music. What the sid had that the NES did not was pulse width modification (as you wary the pulse width you get this shimmer of overtones fading in and out and the timbre varies from tinny to beefy), hardsync, ring modulation and filters.
Tim Follin's Ghosts and ghouls intro is just pure magic. It's not a terribly enjoyable piece of music by itself; but it absolutely sets the ambience for the game and showcases just how powerful the SID chip was.
Before electronic games, there was electro-mechanical arcade games. Not just pinball, pachinko and slot machines or whatever, but various oddities like these:

How the editors pulled off the excellent ending to black adder season 4 from quite the most unconvincing footage ever taken. This is just uncanny.

Tool-assisted bug-abuse. Definitely hypnotic.
