Awesome cave!

Today I found an awesome cave!

2 Reapers were outside of it. One close, and another a little way off but also relatively close.
But since I was in my big sub, (The Leviathan) the Reapers didn't bother me at all...
The opening of the cave is at 400m! Basically the MAX depth of my sub!
Also its beyond the max depth for my sea-moth so I couldn't use it...

So I went for a swim (straight down) to about 650m, but I think I'm going to need more tanks! (3 is not enough)
So far from what I've seen, the cave is empty. But after 650m it looks like it has a turn in it that leads horizontally. (scary!)

I hope they're planning something really creepy down here!

PS : this was on the far side of the mushroom forest. you'll know your close when you hear the 2 Reapers roaring!

Was the hole big enough to fit the Cyclops through? What were the coords of the hole? I think you may have found one of the entrances to the Inactive Lava Zone, the two present take the form of giant, elliptical holes, which go fairly straight down and level out into a labyrinth of hills until you find your way into the actual LZ.

No idea what the cords were sorry.

I just know it was beyond the Mushroom forest. 2 Reapers outside it.
One close the other one off in the distance a little bit.

Started at 400m and went down to about 650m then made a hard turn horizontally.
No fish, nothing to gather. just scary and dark.

Then I died. Playing on hard core so no re-spawn. (how the game should be played)

hold on cant you go back there in normal try to find it again and then take a screen shot otherwise not true

Well you found it the first time go and try to find it again, if you do take a screen shot i want to believe you your just not providing enough proof.

Yes it looked like the picture you linked to.
But it started at 400m. And no koosh zone at the bottom.

This is the cave Solar71 is speaking of I believe. Coordinates are -1100/-365/1166. Cave is large enough to fit the cyclops with much room to spare, but be warned, there are reapers all around this area. There is enough room in the cave to navigate your cyclops, but it is a bit cramped. I also suggest leaving a beacon at the mouth of the cave for easy exit.
