    The last word on this I had is that Lost River is being worked on, or has at least had work started on it (can't remember which atm), with a more likely chance of making it in game. Arctic is still being mulled over in terms of how and where it will fit in. So they definitely want to add Arctic but Lost River has more attention priority over it right now... including some eerie features related to large inhabitants of that region. ;)

    There is an 'arctic' biome behind the engines, southeast section of the map. There are some pretty steep drop offs so we'll definitely get those blocky ice mazes eventually!
