Subnautica crashes then kills my disk usage...

Hello everyone,
Today I got onto Subnautica and started a new game so I could play the Habitat update. Game started to load but froze a couple seconds in. After it froze my PC's Disk usage after I closed it went up to 100% and Subnautica was showing up as a background process in task manager. I did some testing and I am almost 100% certain that Subnautica is causing this, but still its hard to tell if this is a PC or Subnautica problem... I have windows 8 with a Intel core processor and 8 GB of ram. The game does say that my GPU isn't powerful enough but the game never has run slowly before or had trouble loading until this update. Also I can run games like War Thunder and DCS World fine and both are bigger and harder games for my PC to run but they don't kill my disk usage. So any help or thoughts on this is appreciated!
