Breeding and migration do you think about migration? after over-breeding a group of stalkers inhabit your backyard to taking care of? maybe over-hunting and egg-harvesting and some species become low population? also herbivores destroy herbs and looks like land became empty, every action should affect surroundings

Subnautica already has a preliminary ecosystem in place:
(taken straight from the Wiki: http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Subnautica_Wiki)

Ecosystem-Player Events are the interaction between the player and life forms. They also include interactions inside the environment itself, such as a predator attacking a prey. These events can be based off of many mechanics, such as light, motion, or player range. This page lists out the different events that happen in Subnautica.

-The Oculus is afraid of light. Pointing a light source at one causes it to swim away hastily.
-Jellyrays and Bone Sharks are attracted by light. Their curiosity causes them to investigate light sources. Be careful while attempting this, as Bone Sharks are very aggressive to the player.
-The Spadefish is afraid of motion it cannot see. Because its only eye is on top of its head, if something moves under it the Spadefish will flee.
-Stalkers are attracted to metal. They will swim around and pick up metal.
-Bleeders are attracted to all life forms - living or dead. This can be taken advantage of easily by the player. They can throw a fish at a bleeder to distract it and make their escape.
-Stalkers enjoy eating Peepers. They can be seen chasing Peepers around, usually ending with a Peeper's death.
-Stalkers will eat fish out of the player's hand. Doing this causes them to be peaceful with the player and will bring them metal salvage.
-Stalkers will also take pieces of metal salvage from the player's hand. Doing this causes them to be peaceful, but they will not bring the player metal salvage in return.
-Acid Mushrooms will shrink when the player preforms sudden movements near them. After a delay they will reinflate to full size.

Furthermore, I think that if you eat too many peepers/fish from one area (kelp forest for example), than the Stalkers will start spreading out more, in search of food. Although this might be implemented in a later stage, not sure
