The pulsating beacons on your HUD can ruin some of the immersion of the game. Would love a simple toggle key for them like F or Q (Don't always need to know where the LifePod or one of your bases is).
A good idea... being able to set the distance a beacon activates or deactivates would be another good feature. Some beacons, like the cyclops and seamoth, should always be active though, as I've had a few close shaves trying to get back to by craft with my tanks slowly running down, and if I'd turned off the beacon before, I would have been screwed.

A long press of Q or the toggle key brings up a menu of those categories and you can toggle specific ones on or off from there.
