Looking at sketchfab saw awesome elevator, NEEDS TO BE IMPLEMENTED!!!

Imagine carring boxes of titanium supplies, fish, eggs, into laboratories… maybe into a capital submarine?

All of my want. I've always thought it would be awesome to have a huge elevator that leads to a base that's super deep.

I can be mistaken (and please correct me if I am), but isn't that model used in that giant wreck-model?

I think it will be in the Aurora, but i agree that this will be amazing in a huge base in the future deeper biome! :)

I think so, responding to LordDerp, but it still would be AMAZING to have in a large base.

Vertical connectors and ladders between habitation modules do more or less the same thing.

I call them 'zoom tubes'. Monolith Base has its lowest level at roughly 380 metres, and hab clusters at 100 metre intervals.

Result: 0 to 380 in five seconds... Elevator does what?

I was thinking... If we could rotate the "T" or "X" corridor so the cross piece was "vertical" rather than "horizontal" (maybe by holding "Shift+ the mouse wheel"). We could then use that as lift tube. Could get rid "vertical" tube and just use corridors. Plus have add a ladder ring on the top and bottom of the "X" corridor so you could connect vertical corridors to the top or bottom. Cuts down the modeling of the tubes since they already have it. Just add a second axis to moving the units. Then all we need is a "lift" ball-shape unit to fit inside. Could have a "hatch" slide horizontally into the side of the wall to let it pass, then slide back to seal the shaft.

Would be great to have to descend into a deep area from a base at the top of a cliff, down to another one at the bottom. I'd find the cliff that goes the deepest for such a base!
