All around the clock

There's always a lot to do in Subnautica, whether you optimize your base, craft stocks or go out to find certain resources, etc ... and it seems that there's the right daytime for each specific action. It would be very handy if we had a clock to see how much time is left or when to start the next scheduled mission. A moon watch like item was sufficient but very useful.

gotta agree with this when you're in a close in area you can't tell jack what time it is except when the PDA tells you it's nighttime.

Well, I've caught myself many times to start out some explorations of certain areas and when I came there it was dark. The same inside bases .. busy with all kinds of stuff and when finished and finally ready to go, it was evening. Night time is perfect to work inside or travel distances ... best time for arrival: When sun comes up.

As many players stated before: "It's the future!" So, having no clock feels kind of bizarre.

you know what people did in the medieval ages?... they looked at the position of the sun to tell the clock...... but then again... people from medieval times were not gifted with 3D printer technology that can create a submarine out of "thin air" and all that... but then again, a clock is a pretty simple device... hell, you could probably make a sun-watch using the terraformer, assuming the shadows cast by the sun actually syncs with the time in the game.

That's true. But medieval folks didn't live a hundred meters under water. It's sort of defeat to dive up each time just to check the time. Or to travel to your terraformed sun-watch. Hehe ... but all that doesn't solve the issue not to know when dawn is breaking. That's idle .... I need a watch.

I agree, a clock is needed. Also, I think day / night should be slowed down so night actually means something more than hanging out for a few minutes.

i agree. since we can build a thermometer and a compass, we should also be able to build a simple clock
