Fins Break

Hey guys i hope you will use my idea :)
We all know subnautica as a crafting game, but when you build something you don't need to build it again.
in my idea i would suggest that when you go on land with fins they could break. That would be really realistic. Like in real world fins is only used in water not land. Maybe that could be more realistic, because then you have to make them again.
I know it's not a big deal, but it could make things a little harder and fun, because you have to remember when you have them on.

I hope you like my idea, and i will be a future update :)

while we are at it, lets add a powercell requirement for the rebreather, a battery requirement for the oxygen tank and for the lulz, lets add a battery to the stillsuit, because that doesn't sound tedious at all.

sorry if i come off like kind of a dickhead here, i just felt like being really sarcastic right now.

Not a bad Idea in general, but since breaking is a little too hard and they also wouldn't do in real i wold rather suggest to slow the walking speed when they are equipped since it's really hard to walk in them.

I had the idea with the slow walking speed, but then you can just take them off, because you find out that you're walking slow so you just take them off.

Yes, so in both situations you want to take off the fins, but this way you can still do it when you are already on the island, or in the Moon Pool or the Cyclops and not need to stop before the Moon Pool, go out of the Seamoth, take out the Fins, go back in the Seamoth and then be finally ready to dock on.

Yes i know and it is very realistic, but my idea should that with you have to remember so it would be harder because you have chance to break you fins and have to make them again/fin materials

eh I don't like the idea of everything you craft breaking... I like to play the game not the next micromanagement survival XXXXXX game.

How would the fins break? Have you ever used fins? They are flexible, they aren't going to break.

What purpose would enforced durability for all Subnautica tech items serve?

Limited resources would turn the game into an endless grind with diminishing returns. Given the amount of complaints about inorganic resources not respawning, this concept might be something of a buzz-kill for most players.
