"So I wanted to make a map. Since I don’t have enough actual skill to make any kind of real map I make gimmick maps instead. What I have this time is something like dustbowl for Team Fortress. The aliens start with three hives, both teams have a bunch of nozzles, and there are five minutes to build before the door opens and the onos charge in. After ten minutes of getting slaughtered the marines get access to a room where they can siege the hives from. The game ends in the normal fashion of killing all of the other team." -Cloak

Look at the walls.
res towers on one place.
3 hives in the beginning.
its easy to win as marine. when the glas breaks you pu seiges in the ready room and shoot apart the hives.
its easy to win as alien. send in a group of lerkers that gas all the area.
hives are at diffrent places sow it wont become short to play.
I am a little dicepointed.
This is a decent idea, weather he pulled it off or not is up for debate.... HMG/HA marines vs tons of onos, fades, and lerks doing umbra... hmm? I think aliens gonna win.
The ready room should be a Bullet free zone!
If you make glasses between RR and the map make sure that you cant walk or shoot through it.

theres a HA flickering were it does not belong to.
wanna give it a try without exploiters.
+ lots of bugs in map and server crashes.

I dont know if its the commanders fault of the mappers, bit when the door opens Marines do not have all Ressource towers + HA + HMG + Jetptack.
Im not talking about upgrades.
this map jsut goes in 2 steps:
step 1:
And I suggest:
- Transform the main door area into a long floor with a func nobuild in it.
each big door should be replaced by 2-3 smaller floors with func nobuilds. as replacement for the nobuild (no cc walls) make long hallways for long range advance.
- Make it impossible for fades+lerks to beam and shoot through every glass.
- make the view distance higher. I see fade ammo fliing around, but NO fade.
- replace the marine ressource spot or make a second small ressource spot inside of the siege room.

I can't seriously understand why people think 'speedball' type maps are fun
