Hi
I just installed my update and noticed that my upgrade console when i klick on it it opens up but there is no menu... so not working and a couple of blueprints are missing. Does that mean i have to wreck my game and start a new one from scratch? Does this happen after every update? If yes, i dont know if i want to start a new game till the official release. I Realy enjoy this game but this is kinda frustrating. And i dont want to play creative mode because the heck of it. I dont want to cheat.

And to answer your question - this is Early Access. Things change quite often when devs need to pull something out to further work on it and improve it. That said, if you see no menu at all, it might just as well be a bug, try reloading the save once or twice, and if that doesn't help - report the issue.
You are right and i apologize. Playing in creative mode is not cheating. I didnt want to sound it like that, for the i dont want to cheat comment was ment to use cheats to rebuild my base and then play on normally after that.
If youre the type of person that likes to play a game thats stable and wont break so much on you then play the Stable version. You wont get as many content update as the other version but at least its not going to break nearly as much.
If youre the type of person that loves to see many changes as they get tested then Experimental is for you. That version gets updated roughly 1-2 times a day (sometimes even 3-4 times) but theres a price to pay to see those updates as they come and thats in the form of game stability. Experimental can and will break from time to time, after all theyre testing stuff in there so its meant to happen. If you play Experimental, be prepared to start new games on a regular basis. If you'd rather like instead to start one game and stick to it for a long while, dont do Experimental, go to the Stable version instead
The choice is yours to decide which type of version fits you best. If you dont take all that into consideration you'll end up in here crying that your game breaks every week for sure.
Blueprints and fragments have changed quite a bit and will probably change again in the next update. Eg. the solar panel used to be one all players started with but now has to be scanned from fragments.
Generally not.
Though personally I do from time to time. You might be surprised by how quickly you can get started once you know where everything is.
I think you're over-reacting there. I didn't see that at all in the OP.
I don't see any need for this to be a saga either, but was justified in speaking in defence of the OP. Their post was perfectly innocent. Not even the slightest hint of trashing and belittling.
Anyways,Subnautica is in a early access so it will be updated A LOT,so i don't recommend building any grand bases,or large projects until at least a large update happens. But if you want to have a big base and it updates, you either start over or use cheats.Dont worry about using cheats as many people use cheats to get their stuff back.Good luck!
Before that I was playing the 29160 stable build and had save game blot where it would become unplayable after a time with low frame rate.
I love the fact that this game has as many game modes as it does, leaving the choice to the player, hats off to the devs for that one.
I have developed a philosophy over time that it is better for me to have a bunch of new start as we wait for the middle slash end game to be released.
With 354 hours logged into Subnautica I have yet to regret one second of the time spent or the new starts, or the headaches that come with being an Early Access, there are few games that I am able to say that about, starting back in 1983 or so, with a 286 processor. Playing a DnD game that was just lines on the screen that was the map and an X to show the player position, and the standard DnD stats off to the side. Sorry if I strayed off topic a little.
