Metal Salvage sinks in the ground after spawning

in Subnautica Bug Reporting
I have seen this quite a few times around the aurora. Metal Salvage pieces spawn and immediately sink into the sand and maybe fall through the geo. I can't dig them out again. Is this where some of the fragments go too?

    Yes pal, at this early access game seabed still not 'solid' and some items can drown in it like in swamp. digging the sand will not help you.

    but this bug too old anyway
    in your situation can help you reload your game or just keep searching and try to find same fragments somewhere nearby

    I see, I wasn't aware that this is an old bug since it didn't happen in the stable march build.
    Anyway, this is really just a bug report, I have no problems finding things whatsoever. I just thought I report it.
