Another distant lifepod beacon

Ok so I've recently started a new game and while exploring in my Seamoth, I've discovered another lifepod beacon at an unknown distance away. I haven't made a compass yet so I can't say which direction it is. My power cell has run out and I am almost 9000m away from my own lifepod and the other lifepod is still off in the horizon. Is this a bug or is there now another lifepod to discover? If so, I'll wait to build a cyclops and a lot more power cells lol

    Is it possible that you circumnavigated the world and it is actually your lifepod that you encountered? The only other lifepods that currently exist are the destroyed ones on the ocean floor.

    I drowned myself and once back at my base, I realised that it is was my own lifepod which has now drifted off the map lol. Reloaded the game but it's still out there so I'm lucky it has nothing valuable stored in it.
