Teammate voice chat in slow mo - help!

I have been getting a lag in voice chat where I hear people talking but it spaces out. I hear everyone but voices are in slow motion. The rest of the game is running fine; no sound issues (sound effects play at right time with no delay) and no fps loss. I already tried deleting my cache in case of packet loss and I have tried a fresh reinstall. Also checked reinstalled sound drivers and ethernet drivers. My connection has been consistent and speed tested my ip with same results as before the issue. Help please!

    Can you post what your log.txt says in the first 20 lines or so?
    It's located in your hidden %appdata%/Natural selection 2/ folder

    Do all servers exhibit this same behavior? Do you have any other programs running while NS2 is running? Have you tried re-installing the game?

    All servers have the same problem. If I go back and watch a stream of another player on the same server, he does not have this issue. My voice over mic seems to be received fine by teammates. It is only the voice from other teammates that is not received correctly (in delay or slow mo).

    @sureallife Please run the TechSupport.exe file in the NS2 directory. Upload the zip file from that here. I'm quite curious to get more information on your available Sound devices. If you use headphones / microphone(s) (wireless, wired, or bluetooth), be sure those are plugged in and enabled when you run TechSupport.

    problem fixed, issue was with realtek drivers reverting to generic drivers rather than HD.
