I've been messing around with Terragen and some other programs lately and having fun. Here's some panoramas a few of the space-themed skyboxes I've made (they are 512x512 but could be easily sized down ...):

Eejoot
nice!
Is something similar also possible with bryce?
Milkman: Terragen comes with a surface called Martian Plain and and several Martian atmospheres. I just used a little more haze than normal.
Here's one I did messing around one day with various settings. I call this one Outpost.

thank you <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Yes you're correct, Carbon14. And I'm initially rendering them at 960x960, then scaling them back to 512x512 (or up to 1024x1024). So they come out a bit crisper that way than if you render them at 512x512 to start with. At least they do for me.
Hey either you know how to make skyboxes with 200X more detail than current ones, or you have a lot of rescaling to do <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
i love the outpost thing <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
can i use it for a map?
512x512 = Quake3, 3DNA Lo-res
1024x1024 = 3DNA Hi-res
I made this one sort of like your outpost one, what do you think?

You's winzor! But hey Mr Batman, yours are also good.
the planet your on has a ring around it like Saturn (which you can only just see in the pic), and ther is a crescent moon above you.
Thanks in advance =) Dum dum dum..
can you mail it to me too? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I would love to use that "Valles Marineris" on my map maybe... if it is possible =)
I use Terragen. Would like to get Bryce though. And I can size down some of the skies for people that want to use them (soon as I get some time...)
