DEVS - PLEASE make the Exo/Mech suit able to build habitats!

I recently built a base in bone shark infested waters. It was impossible to do so without being eaten. I died 3 times despite my best efforts.
-I did this because I knew building the base would be a challenge and I wanted to study the Bone Sharks patterns more closely. My understanding is this is what the game is about?

The experience was poor because death was unavoidable -no preparations or technology could make me safer.
-The poor experience was brought about by the repetitive cycle of death, respawn in the base, repeat. Perhaps if/when death penalties are in place, that in itself may top such a cycle. After the first module was down, I was committed, so either needed to complete or dismantle the base. I enjoy the planning stages of such an expedition and so I had planned and rehearsed the build for what I knew would be a tough experiment, to ensure speed and that I had exactly the right resources.

Being able to construct habitats in the PRAWN suit, would be awesome and fit well.

EDIT:
I felt the need to edit this post to clarify, due to Myrms confusion below. This is a polite request for what I think would be a fun feature!
Also, I'm autistic and get confused easily about other peoples issues.

So you decided to build a base in shark infested waters, and then complain when you get attacked and killed so much? :s

Yea, I know...but you should see the view!

    I'm not complaining, I'm requesting.

Is it truly that difficult? I've been aiming at trying to build a base there too and was expecting that my usual tactic for scavenging - waiting safely in my reinforced seamoth until they go away - would be enough for building too.

For what it's worth, you can (sometimes?) build sections of a base from inside if you've established the frame outside. A 0% built that connects to an existing room can be finished from the room. That'll leave the need to be outside short.

Also, there's a reinforced suit that is yet to be reimplemented that lowers the damage you receive. Perhaps that is what you need?

Did you bring along a seamoth? You can take cover in it until the bonesharks lose interest and then continue building. At least, that's what I do.
I'm going to build in the reaper-infested dunes eventually...that'll be fun.

I support this idea, but for a very different reason.

I've been hoping for the ability to build structures through the exosuit or seamoth due to eventual depth gating (I mean, if the plasteel hull of the cyclops gets ripped apart, what is that pressure going to do to my body?) which puts a rather harsh limit on the ability to build bases in a number of biomes as I imagine the depth the character can withstand is quite shallow (>200m if I had to guess).
