I was awaiting this monthly update so hard! What a bummer it is only a micro update haha. Too bad the experimental update isn't much further either, and what bothers me most; the checkins are down again for a few months already, just like last year. So basically I see no progress and I can't read about progress behind the screens (trello is not moving much either, and not really logically set up for actual planned projects). My curiosity and desire to have exciting stuff can barely handle this! ^^ lol

The Exosuit has had a lot of work done on it, there are more rooms being worked on for the Aurora, the Lost River is being added to, the Inactive Lava Zone is being added to and much more. Just to give you a little taste of what's being worked on :p

In other words, still no fix for the scanner room permanently muting creature sounds :(.

And Xbox build is still being tested and sorted out to get the update ready to go out ASAP.

Tested internally or is it at MS for cert?

Thank you so much for supporting controllers! I can finally use my controller for subnautica instead of portal all the time! :)

I hope they fix this soon. Getting tired of stalkers and bone sharks sneaking up on me lol.

    Very nice! Thanks a lot!
Another thing. Is the problem of overfishing being worked on? I have set up a base but gasopods and stalkers (and me of course) have removed almost all the fish in the area. As I understand, a lot of people are "suffering" from this. I can barely get work done, because I have to travel far, just to get some food. :(

There has a been a ton of progress on the game, it is just going towards the next couple of updates. The Exo is very far along, as is the new Aurora interior section, both getting pulled together for the next update. On top of that we've been working on lot's of Precursor / story related elements, to get those ready to ship, probably for the update after the Exo. Lost River and Lava Zones are being worked on, and new creatures such as the Lava Lizard, Lava Larva and Sea Dragon, for the Lava Zone biome. And Xbox build is still being tested and sorted out to get the update ready to go out ASAP.

Thanks for the update on that, appreciate it. Sounds awesome! Personally I'm not sure what to do with the Exo (i dont get it yet), but I sure would love the Cyclops docking. Any details available on that? I think they started working on it right? I'm not asking for a reliable release date, any news would be VERY exciting!

maybe after the full release of the game, multiplayer could be a cheap dlc, just a thought. Keep up the good work!

There should be a way to delete shoals of fishes, i just hate them. They can't be grab, their only objective is to make the FPS goes down(i don't think they make a lot of difference in the FPS). They are very weird and ugly in low graphics, they are like to papers floating in the water.

Oh don't eat all the fishies... Fish are friends not food! Once you get settled, grab some plants off the island and food is covered. The breeding fishtank (alien containment unit) is great for repopulating the local fish stocks - and even better, many tank bred fish are more friendly and hang around the base playing.

Testing internally. Basically testing the already certified build to see if it is ok to release. If not, then we'll need to go through the whole certification process again.

Not yet, but it is known and we are hoping to get it fixed for the next update.

Do you mean Exo docking inside the Cyclops? Or the Cyclops docking with bases? Cyclops docking with bases is not currently planned for release. That may change at some point, depending on the final release date, and how fast we get through other features, but it is very unlikely that it will make it in for version 1.0

Fish eaten / killed by other creatures do respawn. That went into the game a few updates ago. It doesn't happen instantly, though, so you might need to give it some time.

My bad. I meant the docking of the Cyclops at a base, at least to charge the batteries, but maybe even to be able to get from the Cyclops into the base without having to enter the water.

Kinda sad that this update didn't solve this from happening... possibly for a future update?0ry3uvdr66f0.png

That is not a game issue, its a Windows issue. When you start your game, do not touch any key or use your mouse. Then when you see this window, press ALT+ENTER at the same time. Windows should remember the new size and the problem is fixed.

You sneaky, sneaky devs! No mention in those patch notes about the scanner and habitat builder now requiring batteries? That's a relevant (if fairly minor) gameplay change!

@crane476 Lots of things are on the trello boards - that doesn't mean it's not news when they go live in stable.

You can tell they made an attempt on the seamoth handling but it still isn't as fun and interesting as it used to be - now it feels "twitchy". I was addicted to Descent and the moth handling used to strongly remind me of flying there... now it's not as fun - but maybe the new patch version won't make me quit to preserve my tummy

Yeah, sorry, that was an oversight. It should have been listed in that news post.

The ‘grey screen’ crash, where the Subnautica would become non-responsive and crash, was one of our most frustrating bugs. After this update, we expect you will see it a lot less often.
It seems to be the opposite case for me. I never had that crash before and since the update, it happened twice. Couldn't even bring up the task manager to end the process. Had to reset my computer.

Thanks for solving this issue for me, though it still crashes after it opens...

There is a noticeable decrease in FPS which I didn't have before this micro update. I did have an issue in which I had to re-install the save folder for some reason but that's another thing entirely. Anything that could have affected my otherwise relatively good FPS?
