Seabase air managment

Building a room and placing some sun collectors is at the moment enough to produce endless oxygen.

I suggest to change the Seabase air managment therefore

Method 1: You can find a blue print in the safe sallows which allows to build a "surface oxygen compressor (SOC)" (1xCPU + 1xCopper + 2xTitanium) and another one who allows to build air-pipes (2xTitanium per pipe). The pipes must break the surface to work. This allows to support 15 modules with fresh air at the sme time. Once you add the 11th module the oxygen drop slowly. The modul can only be attach outside at a Multipurpose Room. This works from 0-100m. The SOC drains Energy.

Method 2: There is another blueprint named "underwater oxygen compressor (UOC)". Instead of Method 1 it uses no pipes. This device has the same size as a "Alien Containment" and you can place it also like a Alien Containment only in a Multipurpose Room. The only different is there is some kind of collector at the top, which collects bubbles from the "purple brain coral" which you want to collect and place like other plants. But you can only place this kind of plants into the UOC. Materials to build it inside a Multipurpose Room: 6xTitanium + 5xGlass + 1xCPU + 1xCopper. The UOC has a hatch to place the 4 "purple coral probes" manually into this device. The SOC drains Energy. The SOC needs instead of the UOC time to work with 100% efficient as the probes need time to grow.

I would suggest a 3rd method if you don't mind. Someting usable at any depth. A kind of oxygen filtration machine. Either something like the water filtration machine which would be buildable multiple times inside one MP-room or something more reactor like that is build in the middle of a MP-room but would be more efficient then the single "modules". Because Water is made out of Oxygen and Hydrogen "H²O" it should be possible to filter/extract the oxygen out of it.

Know what would be a sweet addition? SI affected by depth and oxygen pressure in your base. Having an option for manual pressure management would be neat.

So as you expand your base, you consume more oxygen and have to pressurize it more to counter the pressure at that depth.

It could consume more power as well, making power transmitters more useful.

I just figured the whole 'add power=oxygen' was just scienced away. I mean, you can get oxygen from water pretty fracking easily. After that, its just powering a CO2 scrubber and your golden. Honestly I'm more weirded out by the fact that we don't have a self contained breathing system on the character. I mean, it would break alot of the game's mechanics to have infinite oxygen as long as you had a battery/power cell, but within the context of the game's setting it seems weird that these super sciencey people's best answer for portable oxygen is a big fat metal tank.

Size and power requirements of the equipment just may make it not feasible to take it around with you. Starting at the size of the seamoth they're able to provide oxygen. My thought is for large bases, as it gets bigger, it makes more sense that the oxygen generation equipment would be a thing.

I suggested these 2 ways to produce oxigen as some of these aspects are always in the game. The "purple brain coral" is well known as the "alien tank" as the "breath pipes". Only a compessor is missing. So it allows to combine well known things and do something new. I used the brain corals at the beginning of the game - and then not any more. I used also in some situation the breath pipes and then not any more. I want to bring some of these things back to the gameplay to have fun with well insert things.

It is true that we should need a air management to the submarines also - this "air comression" is a very good idea. You can refill them at your "air refilling station" in the base to have more oxygen if you are out of the base. This new oxygen tanks appears in 2 sizes. One size for personal (2tanks) use and the seamoth (4tanks) and one bigger doublesize for the big submarine (8tanks). 2 new blueprints needed for this - similar to the battery usage.
