PLEASE HELP! Game stuck on loading screen

Brought subnautica today, launched game without trouble and started new game. During load, prefab, world tiles etc. all seemed to load fine, then when text disappeared from screen it crashes and "amd driver has crashed and successfully recovered" pops up. Then, no matter how long i leave it (left it for like 2 hours) nothing happens, however music is still playing in background. I followed all relevant advise on steam troubleshooting page including re-install, still wont work.
All info:
Build number= 34431 CPU=AMD FX 6100 hexacore 16gigs RAM GPU=AMD radeon 6770 OS= win10
Im stumped, any help would be appreciated, thanks.
