I have already privately made a skulk weapon replacement but I noticed that the alien teeth act as sort of a disadvantage if they are placed in the same position as the skulk teeth, because the alien teeth have less gaps in between the teeth, making the viewspace less. If the teeth are moved any further out of the way to correct this problem, I think that would border on cheating, so I have abandoned that project and stuck with the default.

Trust me, it's definitely worse. If the demand for this model is popular, I may take another stab at it.
I don't think it gives that much of an advantage. Before, I changed the skulk bite into the fade claws just because it was so much cooler. And indeed, it was a lot cooler! I was actually HITTING the damn resource tower instead of closing my eyes <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
However, I noticed I was kicking butt in that game, so I wondered if it was because I can see. So I turned it back to default, and play a few more games. Same performance. In fact, I'd say I played better, since I was kicking the butts of some really smart marine players.
If anything, the skulk bite exploit is like 1/20th as bad as the bunny hopping in combat marine exploit. That's only my experience with it though.

Anyhow, since it is considered cheating according to Flayra, I have stopped using them long ago. I only used them for 4 games back when I wasn't even at these forums yet. That's when I found out that such a petty thing WAS considered cheating, so I switched back (though there was no noticable difference.)
But since the file check is on everything, does that mean me changing the "bitehit" sounds to the zergling hit sound is cheating too?
Vash, that happens to me too. I'm using an old intellemouse, and the damn laser can't keep up with my high speed turning. It goes wack and has cost me many an easy kill. That's why I hate the marine bunny hop. I can't turn in time if they hop right over me.

If Someone has the know how and is willing to help a sad bastage enjoy being the skulk a little more could they make the fade claw the default for Skulk bite?
