Just cruising around in my seamoth and exploring far away from the safe shallows I've run across a massive trench that tears across an otherwise plain area. I had to investigate....already past 250 range to begin I start into the thing to find a change of flora including deep mushrooms and other glowy things, a few blood orbs here and there indicate there will eventually be more when able to populate properly on the xbox but further I dive. Passing the deepest aurora wreckage i think i've found so far at near 400 meters artfully wedged into the crevice and dropping wreckage to lower depths now seeing nothing outside of my limited seamoths headlights but a few glow worms and now massive amp eel's. Finally a bottom near 650 meters and instinctively putter around a bit I stumble into the natural entrance to the lost river biome Had to make a minibase at the mouth on a small ledge to transition into the exosuit as this is now 750 meters or so deep and very hard to see anything at all. Even with a powered base and some lights used here and there it has to be the darkest creepiest area I've been into yet.

I would love to answer your question, but sadly the truth is that we don't know much of the Lost River yet, other than the fact that it is going to be awesome judging by the concept art (check Subnautica wiki for the concept art and all we know on the Lost River so far). It isn't confirmed, but the Lost River may end up being another connection to the Inactive Lava Zone.
Hope that answers your question
On a side note, your profile picture...
(^ just my opinion, lmao)
